Greetings!

I'm Patrick Bishop, as you may well know by being here. I'm a science-fiction writer working on a series of novels, and I currently work in the IT department of a medium-sized company.

The blog you're currently visiting is where I catalog my adventures, with two major categories:

1) Writing about writing. I love writing, and I do it everyday in some capacity. I am either reading, writing, editing other people's work, or thinking about writing just about all the hours I spend awake (and sometimes while dreaming). I have a continuing goal to write 2,000 words every weekday toward my novels, as well as edit, polish, and soon-to publish them, and so I will update weekly with my progress on those 2K-a-Day goals, along with some notes or anecdotes about the craft. These are labeled and located in the "On Writing" section.

2) Being Me. I have an overactive imagination, an odd set of friends, and a really unique work environment. This is the "adventures of a sci-fi writer and IT pro" section of the blog and will be updated with stories from my life, as my mind distorts it. Names will, of course, be changed to protect the innocent. Namely, me. Everyone else is guilty as sin. These are labeled and located in the "Adventures" section.

So, there you have it. I make a continuing effort to do one update a week, and I hope you'll come back often enough to enjoy what I have to say about my craft and what I view my life as.
